Ferraux 2012 Music Sampler
A Personal Message From Jonah Dempcy
Hello, Internet traveler!
Thanks for finding my music here.
Ferraux is a project I started in 2008 that took a few years to get off the ground. It is a different sort of outlet compared to the music I release under my own name or as Revolution Void. Ferraux aims to be: lo-fi, distorted, rockin’, obnoxious, weird, electro, aggressive, and generally use a lot of sounds I would shy away from in other projects.
I think it is healthy to have outlets for different styles, moods and feelings. You will find Ferraux to be much more aggressive, inspired by artists such as Skrillex and Justice, as well as using obnoxious sounds and stylistic tropes borrowed from Dutch house, fidget, happy hardcore, videogame soundtracks, progressive rock, the MOD scene and more. It is an eclectic mix and I do not expect everyone to enjoy this music. Furthermore, I intend to continue experimenting and incorporating more sounds that I am unable to explore in my other projects due to constraints of decorum. Ferraux, in some ways, is my ‘decorum-free’ project where I can safely be as cheesy or aggressive as I like. Consider it a shadow alter-ego, if you will.
Thanks for reading, thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy the music!
